Perfectionism, Interactional Justice and Job Performance: A Trait Activation Perspective

Drawing on trait activation theory, this research explores the intrapersonal consequences of perfectionism in workplace by examining relationships between self-oriented (SOP) and two distinct job performance dimensions, i.e., task organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) moderating role interactional justice these relationships. Using field data collected from 121 employee–supervisor dyads South Korea, we found a unique incremental predictive power employee SOP performance, specifically performance. Moreover, results showed that interaction effect OCB was significant, such activated to enhance when low. Theoretical practical implications are discussed.
